I got random drug tested yesterday. Back in 2020 had a failed pre-employment drug test. They are not currently drug testing. The reason I asked this is because I got hired by them (just waiting for the security guard badge/card, to be fitted for a shirt, pants and belt, get fingerprinted, I also went through orientation and passed a 12 panel drug test plus a background check) and I’m on a diuretic for fluid retention in my kidneys and liver plus I take a legally prescribed opiate for sciatica and plantar fasciitis. I took 2 hits off of my pipe about 12 hours before my random mouth swab test. 98% of the time it’s just a random alcohol breath test, but it’s always a lottery if they are doing drug testing too. I’m sure cases will vary, but I believe I’ve heard of a nurse in Nevada testing positive, and being allowed to keep their license conditionally with scheduled drug testing for awhile and commitment to a program for recovery. So I’m on drug court in FL, we get random drug tests like 2-3 times a week, most people I’ve seen who miss a test have to go to jail for 3 days once court comes around with the exception of one or two people.
